Foundational Drawing
Foundational Drawing is a beginner-friendly class perfect for those new to drawing or artists returning to their practice. In this class, you'll explore key concepts like positive and negative space, value, scale, mark-making, and basic perspective. All you need is a pencil and paper, and you'll leave with a solid foundation to continue developing from and find direction. Each weekly class will include optional homework for practice.
Ari received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA in Painting from UCLA. While at SAIC, Ari was the first student in ten years to be nominated and accepted to the Norfolk Summer School of Art Residency at Yale University for the Ellen Battell Stoeckel Fellowship. Ari believes creativity is within us all and fosters artistic growth through mentorship is one of the best ways to move forward in developing a creative practice.
